Delbar Products Selects DBSi for Disaster Recovery Services


Leading Manufacturer Stresses Flexibility

BETHLEHEM, PA, October 26, 2004 - DBSi, a provider of comprehensive disaster recovery services, announced today that it has been selected by Delbar Products Inc. to provide business continuity solutions, including multi-platform hotsite recovery and network backup capability.

Delbar Products Inc., a major worldwide supplier of mirrors to the automotive industry with headquarters in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, will utilize multiple AS/400 and Intel-based systems located at DBSi for disaster recovery operations. This service will allow Delbar to continue service to their customers, supply chain, and manufacturing plants via an Internet VPN in time of a disaster. As part of their disaster recovery plan, Delbar Products will also utilize DBSi services to restore these systems prior to Delbar Products’ arrival at the DBSi recovery center.

In addition to more than sufficient rehearsal test time, DBSi will also preload our environments to both save us time in testing, and to enable Delbar Products to meet our recovery time objective in the event of a disaster. We also appreciate some of their contract commitments such as no annual price increases or automatic contract renewals, geographic separation of clients to reduce the probability of a multiple disaster impacting us, and our ability to upgrade or downgrade our recovery service level over the life of the agreement”.
